Stephens County Schools Closed on Monday Due to Potential Ice
The following is a message from Stephens County Schools Superintendent Bryan Dorsey:
Governor Nathan Deal announced non-essential state offices from Columbus across to Augusta and northward will remain closed on Monday, January 8, due to a National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory.
After our 7pm briefing, we are closing school due to the potential of ice on roads in the morning/early afternoon making driving conditions hazardous with little notice should precipitation occur.
