School Open House sessions give parents and students the opportunity to set schedules, meet teachers, and take care of any paperwork for the upcoming school year.

School supplies will be available for free at each school’s open house for grades K – 8, but free backpacks will not be offered by the school district this year.  The 2023-24 school year will be the final year of ESSER-funded school supplies.

ESSER funding, short for Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief, came from three rounds of pandemic aid – CARES Act in May 2020, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act in January 2021, and the American Rescue Plan, or ARP, in March 2021.

The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 2. The school year includes 180 student days, and the last day of school will be May 24.
