Stephens County meets user requirement for Purposity App

The user requirement for Stephens County Schools to use the Purposity App to meet needs of its students has been met.

As WNEG News told you last week, a minimum of 350 users had to be following Stephens County Schools on the app before needs could be posted; as of Tuesday, there were 445 followers.

The Purposity app was designed to offer a platform for community members to see and meet the needs of their fellow community members; however, Stephens County Schools Deputy Superintendent Dr. Daniel Oldham presented it to the Stephens County Board of Education as a way for the school system to advertise student needs anonymously to the community.

Oldham says by using this platform, school systems are able to notify the community of specific needs in the area.

Even though the minimum user requirement was met, the Stephens County Board of Education continues to invite the community to participate by downloading the Purposity App.

As the app gains popularity among the school system, keep an eye for notifications regarding the needs of local students.

The Purposity app is available to download for free in the Apple App Store and Android Market Place.
