Stephens County man convicted of Child Molestation

A Stephens County man has been convicted of child molestation.

According to Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney George R. Christian, Victor Lashawn Brown has been found guilty of one count of Child Molestation.

Christian says the trial began on April 19, and Brown was found guilty on April 22.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Suzanne Boykin and Assistant District Attorney Sarah Carbo presented the case on behalf of the State of Georgia and the District Attorney’s Office.

The case was investigated by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Sean McGuire.

Forensic support was provided by F.A.I.T.H.’s Powerhouse 4 Kids, Ruthie Zoellner and Lisa Fugel.

According to Christian, Brown has not yet been sentenced.

A sentencing date will be scheduled before Judge B. Chan Caudell.
