Stephens County Hospital celebrates future at Gala this Saturday

From the announcement of dire financial woes and pending closure just 26 months ago, to steady growth, successful new programs, record-setting fiscal and patient figures, and a positive eye on the future, Stephens County Hospital has executed a deft U-turn on what appeared – just a short time ago – to be a dead end road.

Financially, and in terms of service, quality and reputation, those turnabouts are backed by financial reports, benchmark analysis, and the first-hand information shared at Hospital Authority meetings – and they provide ample reason for celebration, say members of the Stephens County Hospital Foundation.
The Foundation is hosting its inaugural Gala this Saturday at the North Georgia Technical College Currahee Campus.

Foundation Director Pamela Jones explained the purpose and function of the Foundation

She said the event is the premier fundraising event for the Foundation, and she is excited about the masquerade theme, and the fundraising opportunities during the event, such as the live auction that will give someone the chance to win a true classic – a 1988 Chevy Suburban 4×4.

Jones added that the event was not just a fundraiser and a fun event, but that there would be a focus on providing a glimpse at upcoming endeavors and objectives that the Hospital and the Hospital Authority Board members are focused on, and there will be announcements about some of those future endeavors.
