Stephens Co. FFA Attends State Convention

Stephens County FFA attended the 89th Annual Georgia State FFA Convention where they were recognized for several accomplishments.

The group placed second in the State Parliamentary Procedure Competition and the chapter offered 11 state degree recipients, which is one of the highest numbers of recipients in the state. Those recipients include: Kaine Addison, Tanner Allen, Tyler Allen, Chris Collier, Jaron Defoor, Bradi Hayes, Kole Kelley, Zack Murray, Tucker Payne, Logan Stovall and Hannah Watkins.

Other accomplishments from the convention include Tyler Allen finishing as the third-place finalist for the state of Georgia in the division of Agricultural Processing, Hope Smith performing the song, “Road Less Traveled” during the state convention career show and both Tanner Allen and Hannah Watkins being designated to serve on the State FFA Courtesy Corps.

Stephens County High School FFA was also recognized with 100 percent membership. To receive that recognition, each student enrolled in agriculture classes must pay active FFA membership dues. The middle school was also recognized with 100 percent membership, however, their requirements are different.
