St. Mary offers EMS seminar, Nov. 28

With new techniques and advances taking place every day in emergency medical care, it’s important for EMT’s and first responders to stay up-to-date of the latest treatments and procedures.

That’s why St. Mary’s Healthcare is once again offering its free EMS education seminar next Tuesday November 28th in Athens.

St. Mary’s spokesman Mark Ralston says the biannual EMS Conferences provide useful and relevant information for EMTs, paramedics and first responders throughout Northeast Georgia.

Those attending the conference will also be able to accumulate continuing education credits through the Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma.

According to Ralston, various doctors and specialists will be speaking, covering topics all EMT’s and first responders face in the field.

Again, the seminar takes place from 9a to 3p next Tuesday and includes a free lunch and refreshments.

And while the seminar is free, Ralston asks that those planning to attend go ahead and register early so they have a head count for lunch.

To reserve your seat for the EMS Conference you can call John Sartain at St. Mary’s before November 24th at 706-389-3986 or email him at [email protected].
