Spirit of Stephens honorees for September named at BOE Meeting

At the September 19 Board of Education meeting, school officials recognized the classified and certified employee Spirit of Stephens award winners for September.

The award recipients are nominated each month by fellow employees. The criteria for nomination state that the nominee must demonstrate a strong commitment to student success, encourage teamwork and assist other staff members, inspire others with a positive outlook and attitude, and perform job responsibilities consistently and professionally.

This month’s honorees were Julie Pulliam, who serves as a paraprofessional in the media center at Toccoa Elementary School, and Taylor Massee, who is a school counselor at the Stephens County 5th Grade Academy.

Both Massee and Pulliam were applauded by school board members at meeting attendees for their work performance, and received a gift basket from award sponsor, Peach State Federal Credit Union.
