South Carolina Man Flips Vehicle in Gumlog, Faces Multiple Charges

In Franklin County, a South Carolina man is facing multiple traffic charges after flipping his vehicle.

It happened about 9a Sunday morning on Highway 328 in the Gumlog Community.

According to the Georgia State Patrol Hartwell Post, 29-year old Brian Michael Mackey from New Ellenton, South Carolina was driving under the influence when he lost control of his 2005 Honda Accord.

Troopers say Mackey was traveling east on 328 when he went off the road, and struck an embankment.

The impact caused his car to flip and he landed upside down in a ditch.

Miraculously, Mackey walked away with no injuries.

He’s charged with DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, and No Proof of Insurance.
