Six County Area-Lower Numbers-No Deaths

Tuesday’s DPH Covid-19 Report showed a much lower number of reported positive cases across the counties of Stephens, Habersham, Franklin, Hart, Rabun, and Banks with just 35 cases reported across the six county area, and no deaths reported since Monday.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 67 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,765 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 124 deaths and now 4,443 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has had 33 deaths and now 2,187 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,387 cases and still 34 deaths, Hart County is now reporting 1,591 cases and still 32 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 28 deaths and now 1,491 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 2583 positive cases across the state since the Monday report. There has now been a total of 778,049 confirmed positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 334 more were hospitalized for a total now of 52,262, and the total death count due to complications of the virus rose by 120 to 13,481.
