Shirley seeks re-election for Sheriff’s Post

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley has announced he’ll run for a fourth term.

Shirley announced Tuesday that he will qualify as a Republican to run for re-election to the Sheriff’s post.

Shirley tells WNEG News about his law enforcement experience.

“I have more than 40 years’ experience in law enforcement, eleven as Sheriff of Stephens County, so that record will be the heart of the campaign. I intend to focus on the issues important to our citizens,” he said. “The campaign, representing the six points of the badge I wear with honor, will focus on integrity, fairness, experience, community, leadership and vision.”

He says his campaign for this fourth term is based on his record and his vison for the future of Toccoa-Stephens County.
