Sheriff’s Deputy Makes Drug Arrest
The Stephens County Sheriff’s office arrests an individual on drug charges after a traffic stop.
On August 4, Deputy Herring observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 17 with a missing headlight and traveling at a low rate of speed.
Herring pulled the vehicle over and the driver, identified as Erin Taylor Abbott, 22, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II and IV substances, driving under the influence of drugs, crossing state lines with drugs and headlight requirements.
