Sen. Wilkinson presents Sec. Perdue with honors

Senator John Wilkinson presents U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue with resolution honoring service.

Sen. Wilkinson, along with Sens. Jeff Mullis, Steve Gooch and Butch Miller recently met with Perdue in Washington, D.C., to present him with a resolution congratulating him on his recent cabinet appointment.

The resolution presented to Sec. Perdue congratulated him on his appointment to President Donald J. Trump’s cabinet and past commitment to Georgia.

Before his appointment to the presidential cabinet, Sec. Perdue served as Senator in the Georgia Senate.

The resolution recognizes Perdue’s dedication to Georgia, through saying “he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced dramatically by his superlative service as the former Governor of Georgia.”

Sens. Wilkinson, Mullis, Gooch and Miller also presented Sec. Perdue with a resolution for President Trump, commending him on his dedication to keeping Americans safe and putting our national security at the forefront of his executive agenda.
