Sen. John Wilkinson Re-Elected Majority Caucus Secretary

State Senator John Wilkinson will again serve as the Majority Caucus Secretary for the 2019 General Assembly convenes in January.

Wilkinson, who is from Toccoa, was re-elected last week by members of the Majority Caucus to serve as Majority Caucus Secretary.

Sen. Wilkinson has been serving as the Majority Caucus Secretary since 2014.

He also serves as the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee and as Acting Chairman of the Senate Education and Youth Committee.

Additionally, Wilkinson is a member of several other committees, including the Administrative Affairs, Appropriations, Assignments, and Natural Resources committees and as an ex-officio member of the Rules Committee.

“I am honored to be re-elected to serve as the Majority Caucus Secretary and am thankful my colleagues have placed their trust in me,” said Sen. Wilkinson. “Our caucus has worked hard over the past several years to ensure that our state appropriates funds conservatively and remains the best place in the nation in which to do business. I am confident that our caucus will continue to build on our success and Georgia will move in the right direction for years to come.”

Senator Wilkinson has served as State Senator for the 50th District since 2011, was elected to represent Georgia’s 50th Senate District in 2011, which serves Stephens, Franklin, Habersham, Rabun, and Banks counties.
