SCSO K-9 unit receives donated trauma kit

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office has been the recent beneficiary of a donation from the nonprofit organization, Protecting K9 Heroes Foundation. Deputy Ryan Brown and his K9 partner, Reba, were presented with a specialized K9 first aid and trauma kit aimed at providing essential lifesaving items in the unfortunate event of injury during their duties.

Stephens County Sheriff’s Assistant Patrol Commander Kylar Jameson said the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the importance of such partnerships in ensuring the well-being of their K9 units and emphasized the significance of having access to advanced medical resources for the critical role K9s play in law enforcement operations.

The Protecting K9 Heroes Foundation, dedicated to supporting K9 teams worldwide, specializes in donating emergency equipment and ballistic vests to enhance the safety of these invaluable law enforcement companions. Their ultimate mission is to reduce the number of Line of Duty K9 Deaths to zero.
