SCRO postpones L and A testing due to SOS issues

The Stephens County Registrar’s Office will push its date for the Logic and Accuracy Testing for the second time.

According to Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober, all Logic and Accuracy activities have been halted by the Secretary of State’s Office.

She says, the reason for the second delay is because of a programming software error that prevents the Registrar’s Office from completing the testing until the state sends over the correct software package.

Gober adds that the Secretary of State’s Office will announce when the software will be delivered later this week.

Initially the Logic and Accuracy Testing was slated to be held on Thursday, September 17; however, the Secretary of State’s Office was delayed in sending out the Election Data Package for the test, so the Registrar’s Office had to postpone the testing until today, September 29.

On Monday, Gober announced that today’s testing would be postponed until a later date, yet to be decided.
