SCPC will consider a conditional use request for drive-in Art, Music Festival

The Stephens County Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday for its regular scheduled meeting to consider a conditional use request that would allow a drive-in style Art and Music Festival at 1220 Cawthon Road.

Nell Garland is the petitioner for the conditional use request.

Due to the anticipated public response for the request, the Planning Commission will hold its meeting in-person at the Stephens County Historic Courthouse but also give residents an opportunity to attend the meeting virtually by calling in.

The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.

Another item up for discussion, is a rezoning request from William Chastain and Judy Defoor, for the property located at 1356 Skyline Drive, in Toccoa.

The request is to rezone the property from Residential Single to Agriculture Residential.

The Planning Commission will also consider a rezoning request from Kenneth Cooper for the property located at 367 Phillips Road, in Toccoa.

The request is to rezone the property from Residential Single to Agriculture Residential.

Lastly, the Planning Commission will consider a rezoning request from Erick and Susan Wilkins, for the property located at 3479 Toccoa Bypass, in Toccoa.

The request is to rezone the property from Agriculture Intensive to Agriculture Residential.

Before the requests can be granted, pending approval from the Planning Commission, the Board of Commissioners will also have to approve the request during its regular scheduled meeting later this month.

Again, the Stephens County Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.
