SCMS Football #1 Seed/Cross Country Results

The undefeated Stephens County Middle School Rebels football team claimed the regular season title and the #1 spot in the upcoming Region playoffs with a 22-8 storm shortened game at Hart County Thursday night.

T.J. Everett scored three touchdowns, and the Rebels defense was stout in the victory.

Stephens County Middle School is now 5-0 on the season and secured the #1 seed in the playoffs set to begin October 11th. The Championship game will be on October 17th.

The Rebels will conclude their regular season schedule this Thursday when they host Madison County at 5:30 P.M.

The Stephens County Middle School boys cross – country team finished 2nd  in the region Thursday at the region meet in Elberton. The SCMS Girls finished 5th overall in the region meet. SCMS coaches tell WNEG that all runners performed very well and represented SCMS at a high level. Top runners that placed and received medals were:

Grady Sanders – 2nd place with a time of 12:33

Ethan Cross – 8th place with a time of 13:40
Austin Jones – 13 place with a time of 14:03
Braden Griffin – 14th place with a time of 14:04
Nate Standridge – 16th place with a time of 14:06
