SCMS Crushes Rabun-Faces Madison Today

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels football team improved to 4-1 last week with a 36-7 win at Rabun County.

SCMS quarterback Javin Gordon ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more to lead the offensive charge.

Gordon rushed for 208 yards in the game, and threw TD passes to Noah Thomas and Everette Rudeseal.

Defensively, linebacker German Hernandez led the Rebels with 14 tackles, and Jonah Swinton had two interceptions, and returned one 98 yards for a touchdown.

The Rebels will finish the regular season today at Madison County and will be the 2nd or 3rd seed in next week’s NEGIAA Playoff first round.
