SCMS Boys Open Season with Wins

The Stephens County Middle School boys basketball teams opened the season this week with the 8^th grade boys taking two victories and the 7^th grade boys going 1-0.

On Monday, the SCMS 8^th grade boys defeated Habersham 61-13. The Rebels were led in scoring by Kaiden Harbin with 20 points, Zoonk Patterson added 13, and Camar Roebuck 8.

The 8^th grade Rebels faced Tallulah Falls on Tuesday with similar results winning 61-13. Harbin again scored 20 points to lead all scorers, Duke Collins added 11 points and Patterson had 9.

The SCMS 7^th grade boys also downed Tallulah Falls 50-13. Three Rebels scored in double figures led by Cooper Sanders with 11 points, and 10 each from Ka’Runte Riley and Elijah Scroggs.

Both teams will play again Thursday at home beginning at 4:30 P.M.
