SCMS 8th Grade Boys and Girls Win

The Stephens County Middle School 8^th grade boys finished the regular season in exciting fashion Monday night coming from behind to defeat Elbert County Middle School 27-25 in Elberton.

SCMS trailed by seven late in the 3^rd quarter, but was able to chip away at the lead and came out with the victory.

Javin Gordon led the Rebels with 12 points, Andrew Keown added 10, Brock Tankersley 3, and Jock Brown scored 2 points.

The Rebels 8^th grade boys finish the season at 5-6 in Region play.

The Stephens County Middle School 8^th grade girls also had an exciting 25-24 home win over Elbert County Middle School.

Carson Stowe led the Lady Rebels with 9 points, Maddie McGee had 7, Zionnah Kelly and Fayeth Ivester scored 4 each, and Kylee Glaze had 1 point.

The 8^th Grade Lady Rebels are now 2-10 and will finish the season on Saturday at Tallulah Falls.
