SCMS 7th Grade/8th Grade Seasons End

The Stephens County Middle School 7th Grade Boys season came to an end Friday night in Carnesville falling in the first round tournament game to Madison County by the score of 28-24.

Stephens County was plagued by dismal free throw shooting, going only 4 of 18 for the game, while Madison made 7 of 12. Stephens County had defeated Madison County earlier in the season by 27 points when they hit 9 3-pointers, but did not hit a 3 pointer in the game friday night.

Stephens County was led by Cornelius Curry’s 8 points.  Ben Stowe added 7.  Camron Lacy and Evan Dumaine had 4 each and AJ Russell contributed 1.

Lane Nix led Madison County with 7 points.

The Stephens County 7th Grade boys finish the season with a record of 5-6.
