SCMS 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball teams fall to Franklin County

The Stephens County Middle School girls’ basketball season is underway.  Monday night, the eighth-grade girls lost to Franklin County, 26 to 16.

Lanesia Verdell led Stephens County with 7 points, followed by Lauren Schell with 3.

Navaeh Holland, A’nya Dupree, and Ivey Jackson each added 2 points.

The Stephens County seventh grade girls also came up short in a very close game, 19 to 16.

Maecee Crumbley led Stephens County with 7 points, followed by Aleah Curry with 4, Jasmine Russell with 3, and Chloe Pritchett with 2.

The next game for both the 7th and 8th grade girls will be Monday as they travel to Rabun County.
