SCHS Wrestlers Finish Strong at State

The Stephens County High School Wrestling team competed in state competition this past weekend in Macon.

The Indians had 10 wrestlers compete and finished 16^th in the state out of 41 teams competing in AAA.

Defending State Champion Athena Malek finished 4^th in the girls 102 lb. weight class.

On the boys side, Mason Norton finished 5^th in the 160 lb. class, Nathan Walker finished 5^th in the 182 lb. class, and Nick Randall finished 8^th in the 138 lb. class.

This completes a very good year for the Stephens County High School Wrestling team. Accomplishments included: 2^nd in area duals, runner-up at sectional duals, and three area champions for traditional.
