SCHS Track Fares Well in Sectionals-Head to State

Multiple Stephens County High School track team members have qualified for the State Track Meet in Albany starting this Thursday.  Athletes had to finish in the top 8 of their event at the Sectionals held at East Jackson High School last Saturday in order to move on to the State Championships. The Stephens County High athletes that qualified are:

• Samara Walker – Girls Shot Put
• Dariyah Bell – Girls Triple Jump
• Aniya Mayweather- Girls Triple Jump
• Girls 4 x 100 – Kiki Howard, My’Angel Carter, Nana Eades, and Bri Wortman
• Gamarion Carter – Boys Long Jump
• Zhy Perry – Boys Triple Jump
• Bryson Murchison – Boys Triple Jump
• Boys 4 x 100 – KP Hayes, Javian Hightower, Vadole Fleming, and Gamarion Carter
• Gamarion Carter – Boys 100m
• Grady Sanders- 2 mile
