SCHS Principal Kersh resigns effective June 2019

The Stephens County Board of Education accepted the resignation of another administrator.

Stephens County High School Principal Scott Kersh tendered his resignation effective June 30, 2019 at the Board of Education’s recent meeting.

Kersh told WNEG News he felt it was time for a change.

He said being the Principal of Stephens County High School has been the highlight of his career.

“Everyone has been very supportive after I made the announcement. I consider being the Principal of Stephens County High School to be the highlight of my career,” he said.

Kersh began his career at Stephens County High School in 2016, but, feels it is time to take the next step in his career.

He said that because of the excellent administration, faculty, staff and students Stephens County High School will do just fine.

“I know that SCHS will continue to do well, and I look forward to reading about it,” he said.

Again, Kersh’s last day will be on June 30.

In the coming weeks, the Stephens County Board of Education will begin its search for a new high school principal.
