SCHS Participates in Region 8-AAAA Cross Country Meet
Stephens County participates in the Region 8-AAAA cross-country meet.
The region meet took place last week at Unicoi State Park in Helen.
On the girls’ side, the top finisher for Stephens County was Deanna Lewis, who finished 13th overall, about two minutes behind girls’ individual champion Jenna Gearing of White County.
Other finishers for the Lady Indian cross country team were Kim Hill and Abigail Vickery.
Moving to the boys’ side, the top Indian individual finisher was Tristen Powell, who finished 24th overall.
Other finishers for the Indian boys were Cooper Long, Austin Garcia, Ben Whiten, Zack Cothran, and Braxton Gore.
As a team, the Stephens County boys finished seventh in the region.
