SCHS Indians will face Hebron Christian tonight in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will play their final game of the regular season tonight as they host the Hebron Christian Lions in high school football.

Kickoff will be at 7:30 at The Reservation.

The Indians come into the game with an overall record of 8 & 1 and a perfect region mark of 4 & 0.

Hebron Christian has a record of 7 & 2 overall and 2 & 2 in Region 8-AAA.

Last week, Stephens County came from behind to defeat Oconee County on the road, 28 to 27.

As a result of last week’s action, the Indians have already secured their first region championship since 2007.

Hebron Christian lost at home to Hart County, 48 to 27.  This is the first time Stephens County and Hebron Christian have played.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Stephens County J-V Coach, Greg McCall, said the Indians will face a high scoring offense and a pressure defense tonight.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from The Reservation at 5:30, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 and pre-game at 7:15.

In the other Region 8-AAA games tonight, Franklin County will host Oconee County and Hart County will host Monroe Area.

Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Habersham Central will host Shiloh, Madison County will travel to East Hall, Banks County will host Providence Christian, East Jackson will host Athens Academy, White County will be on the road at Gilmer County.  Rabun County, Elbert County, and Commerce will have the night off.
