SCHS Indians to travel to East Jackson tonight for High School Football

The Stephens County Indians will be on the road tonight in high school football as they travel to the East Jackson Eagles for the final game of the regular season.

The winner will advance on to the state playoffs while the loser will end their season.

The Indians are 6 & 3 overall and 1 & 3 in Region 8-AAA play.

Stephens County lost last Friday at home in a close game with Oconee County, 16 to 7.

East Jackson comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 3 & 6 and also 1 & 3 in the region.

The Eagles lost last Friday night to Hart County, 52 to 18.  Last season, the Indians defeated the Eagles at home, 61 to 12.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Indians Head J-V and Wide Receivers Coach, Greg McCall, says it should be a good game with East Jackson tonight because a spot in the state playoffs is on the line.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts tonight with the Indian Road Show at 6:30, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 and pre-game from the East Jackson stadium at 7:15.

In other Region 8-AAA games tonight, Franklin County will travel to Oconee County and Hart County will be on the road at Monroe Area.

In other games around the area this evening, Habersham Central will host Shiloh, Banks County will host Elbert County, Madison County will play at Jefferson, White County will host Cherokee Bluff, and Commerce will travel to Lincoln County.

Rabun County has the night off.
