SCHS Indians to face Hart County tonight in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will be back in action tonight as they host the Hart County Bulldogs in high school football.

Kickoff will be at 7:30.

The Indians come into the game with an overall record of 6 & 1 and a region mark of 2 & 0.

Hart County has a record of 4 & 3 overall and 1 & 1 in the region.  Both teams were off last week—Stephens County defeated Franklin County on October 7th, 63 to 0, while Hart County lost to Oconee County, 31 to 14.

Last year, the Bulldogs won a close game in Hartwell over the Indians, 9 to 7.

Hart County’s starting quarterback is Austen Whitworth who is a 3-year starter.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Stephens County’s defensive backs coach, Rocky Fulbright, said the Indians defense will face a quarterback that is athletic and experienced.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from The Reservation at 5:30, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 and pre-game at 7:15.

In the other Region 8-AAA games tonight, Franklin County will host Hebron Christian and Oconee County will travel to Monroe Area.

Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Habersham Central will be on the road at North Forsyth, Rabun County will host Athens Christian, Banks County plays at Athens Academy, East Jackson plays at Union County, Commerce will host Elbert County, White County will host Lumpkin County, and East Hall will host Cherokee Bluff.
