SCHS Indians Baseball team falls to Rabun County, 11-0

Rabun County senior right hander Grayson Carver gave up just two hits in five innings Monday night as the Wildcats blanked the Stephens County Indians 11-0.  Carver struck out eight, including five in a row at the end of the game.  The win was the first of the year for Rabun County while the loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Indians.  A one-out single by Garrett Burgess in the third and a lead-off double by Aiden Garmon in the fourth was all the offense the Indians could muster.

Rabun County scored three runs in the second inning, two in the third and batted around in the fourth with five runs crossing the plate.  Third baseman Grant Britton had two RBIs for the ‘Cats while Keilin Sanders, Jacob Jarrard and Carver each had an RBI.  Carver helped his own cause with three hits on the evening.

Patrick Murray gave up five runs in two and a third innings and took the loss.  Garrett Burgess and Dylan White finished up on the mound.

The Indians are now 2-5 on the season and will play the next four games on the road.

Stephens County travels to Elberton this evening for a game with the Elbert County Blue Devils. Game time is 5:30PM with air time on WNEG at 5:20PM.
