SCHS Indianettes win Class 3A-4A High Kicks State Championship

On Saturday, February 12th, the Stephens County High School Indianettes Competition Dance Team competed in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Dance Championship in Columbus.

The Indianettes won the Class 3A-4A “High Kick” State Championship.

This is the third year in a row that the Indianettes won the “High Kick” division at the state competition.

They also finished 5th in the state in the “Pom” division and ended their season with their highest “Pom” score of the season.

The Indiannettes competed against 14 other teams with 23 routines in the categories of Pom, High Kick, Jazz, and Hip Hop.

This year’s team consisted of 11 members:  Seniors – Bailee Adams, Kathryn Stroud, Erin Terrell, Payton Vaughn; Juniors – Abigail Brown, Haley Carter, Ariel Holbrooks, Emilee Kesler; Freshmen – Cloey Harding, Annie Smith, Mackenzie Tomlinson; Coaches are Kenzie Cash and Tamera Cash.
