Stephens County Hospital’s 40 percent off program, coming to an end

Since Jan. 18, the Stephens County Hospital has been offering a substantial discount on all medical bills if paid in full.

In recent years, the Stephens County Hospital has offered its patients an incentive for paying their medical bills in full, typically by knocking 20 percent off the total bill.

However, this year, the hospital is offering a 40 percent discount.

Unfortunately, the program will soon come to end on Feb. 28.

It is extremely rare, and often unheard of, for a hospital to offer its patients a 40 percent discount.

The hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Roger Forgey told WNEG News how the hospital has in the past offered a 20 percent discount; but, never one as large as the current one in place.

If you currently have a payment plan set up, you will still receive the discount if you pay off the remaining debt in full before Feb. 28.

Forgey continued to explain that due to the hardships both the community and the hospital has faced this past year, the business administration at the hospital were compelled to alleviate some of financial stress on patients.

Again, the deadline to take advantage of this promotion is Feb. 28.
