SCH reports 8 cases of COVID-19

Stephens County Hospital continues to post daily COVID-19 updates on its Facebook Page and Website.

As of Friday afternoon, the hospital has completed 87 tests, of those eight have come back positive, 75 have come back negative, and four results are still pending.

According to Stephens County Hospital Vice President of Physician Practices Van Loskoski, of the eight confirmed cases, one individual is currently hospitalized at Stephens County Hospital for COVID-19; one is hospitalized at another facility; two who were originally hospitalized at Stephens County Hospital have been discharged and are home recovering; and four were never hospitalized.

He adds that those who test positive for the virus but are not hospitalized should quarantine at-home.

Loskoski says the hospital is only reporting the cases that come into the hospital or its facilities.

Loskoski reminds anyone who develops symptoms aligned with COVID-19, including cough, shortness of breath, and or fever to contact the hospital or their health care provider prior to coming in for treatment.
