SCH continues COVID-19 testing through its new drive-up testing site

Stephens County Hospital continues to offer drive-up COVID-19 testing for patients with a doctor’s order.

According to Stephens County Hospital Vice President of Physician Practices Van Loskoski, the drive-up testing site is open today from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

He says the testing site will continue to operate Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each week from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Loskoski says the hospital has already tested a number of people for COVID-19 at its new drive-up testing site.

The site is open to anyone who has a doctor’s order to be tested for COVID-19.

If you do not have a doctor’s order, you will not be allowed to be tested at this location; however, you can get a doctor’s order from your primary care provider, or from Stephens County Hospital’s WorkWell Immediate Care Clinic.

Loskoski says there is no cost to obtain an order from WorkWell or from any of the hospital’s primary care providers.

Additionally, at this testing site, you will be asked to complete a registration and consent form, so please bring your ID and insurance cards.

Loskoski says Insurance companies have been instructed by the government to pay for COVID-19 testing at no cost to patients.

If you do not have insurance, he says, that is not a problem, the patient will not receive a bill.

Again, the hospital will be screening people today through its new drive-up testing site on the campus of Stephens County Hospital from 9:00 a.m. until 3 p.m.
