SCBC will meet tomorrow for regular scheduled meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday for its regular scheduled meeting.

Unlike the first meeting of February, this meeting will be held in-person at the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.

The meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Up for consideration include several land use public hearings for three rezoning requests and two conditional use requests.

The commission will consider a motion to approve Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Amendment for the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, a motion to renew or terminate easement no. DACW21-2-98-2100 with the Department of Army for term of twenty five years beginning December 1, 2022 and ending November 30, 2047 for county road number 150/Pioneer Road, a motion to use SPLOST II Funds to reimbuse the town of Martin for replacement of two fire hydrants, a motion to approve ACCG-IRMA Firefighter’s cancer benefit program renewal, and a motion to declare April 23, 2022 as Amnesty Day and pay hourly employees double time.

Again, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, February 22, at 5:30 p.m. inside the Historic Stephens County Courthouse.
