Vice Chair Debbie Whitlock asked how setting a minimum square footage would have an effect on residents.

Stephens County Building Inspector Phil Gruber said the issues is that people are living in the storage buildings.

Commissioner Michelle Ivester says she would be in favor of setting a minimum square footage; but also, banning people from living in storage buildings as well.

Gruber says that most jurisdictions have a minimum square footage for a structure to be used as a home.
