SCBC will meet today by teleconference

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning for its regular scheduled meeting.

However, the decision was made early Monday, to hold the County Commissioners’ meeting by teleconference due to COVID related issues.

Under new business, the Board will consider a motion to appoint a planning commission board member to serve a five-year term ending March 2027.

The board will consider motions to approve Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Amendments for probate court, recreation, public works, and emergency management; a motion to accept the peek pavement marking prices and contract renewal; a motion to replace the road maintenance agreement with the City of Martin entered into on July 1, 1995 with a new agreement; a motion to approve new alcohol license for Lakeside.

Additionally, the Board will consider a request from Elvis Bates.

Bates was originally scheduled to come before board during its last meeting; however, County Administrator Phyllis Ayers explained that he was unable to attend that meeting.
