SCBC will meet this morning for regular scheduled meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will be conducted through teleconference beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The board will consider two motions to award bids for new roofs at two county buildings.

The first motion will award Affordable Roofing the bid to put a roof on the Health Department in the amount of $15,752.72.

The second motion will award Affordable Roofing the bid to put a roof on the E911 Building in the amount of $42,668.94.

Both bids will be paid for using funds from the Capital Projects Fund.

The board will also consider a motion authorizing EMA Director Daniel Rhodes to sign a renewal quote for Rave Mobility Safety for Option B Three Year Renewal.

Additionally, the board will consider motions to surplus a piece of property located at 69 Bel Aire Drive, and a piece of property at 85 Biscayne Drive; both to be put up for sale.

Other items to be considered as surplus include six vehicles deemed as unserviceable equipment.

Those vehicles are described as a 2010 Dodge Charger; a 2011 Ford Crown Vic; a 2004 Ford Crown Vic; a 2008 Ford Crown Vic; a 2000 Ford Crown Vic; and a 2009 Ford Crown Vic.

All vehicles are from the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
