SCBC will meet this morning for regular scheduled meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.

There is one Land Use Public Hearing on the agenda for a Conditional Use Permit from Ignite Wireless on behalf of AT&T Mobility. The property is owned by James G. Salmon and is located at 4107 Hwy 123, in Toccoa. The Conditional Use Permit will allow Ignite Wireless to build a new Level III Non-Concealed personal wireless service facility tower on the property.

Under new business, the Commission will consider a motion to approve a Fiscal Year 2022 Local Maintenance Improvement Grant; a motion to adopt a resolution approving a project for the implementation of railroad at-grade safety improvements at various locations along the Hartwell Railroad Corridor; a motion to approve the refunds created by the corrected Factual Errors in the tax digest during the 2021 Fiscal Year; a motion to declare 5 ton wall hung package heat pump purchased in 2006 as surplus; and a motion to approve Fiscal Year 2022 budget amendments for Emergency Management and Health and Human Services.

Again, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet this morning for its regular scheduled meeting inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse beginning at 8:30 a.m.
