SCBC will meet on Tuesday in the Mitchell Allen Room

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday for its regular scheduled meeting; however, because the Historic Courthouse is being used for early voting, Tuesday’s meeting will be held in the Mitchell Allen Room at the Toccoa Train Depot.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The meeting will start with the recognition of the Employee of the Month—one of the new initiatives started under Chairman James Addison’s leadership.

The Board will hold a public hearing for the second reading of a new alcohol license for Lucky Food Mart.

Under old business, the Commission will consider motions to rescind approval of Johnson Control Invoices for $13,318.03 and $18,800 contingent upon complete system analysis which were both originally approved on February 22, 2022.

Under new business, the Commission will consider a motion to authorize County Administrator Phyllis Ayers to sign the Stephens County Courthouse HVAC upgrades proposal to be paid for out of SPLOST VII Funds.

A motion to approve Fiscal Year 2022 Budget Amendments for Public Works, and American Rescue Plan Act.

A motion to consider a lease agreement with Terry Graham Development, LLC for the property located at 150 West Tugalo Street for a one-year lease with option to extend for one year.

A motion to enter into a contract for purchase or real estate with Jimmy F. Keesee and Kathy I. Keesee for the property located at 36 Mize Road, in Toccoa in the amount of $450,000 using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.

A motion to award or deny the building inspection and permitting services bid.

Again, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Mitchell Allen Room at the Toccoa Train Depot.
