SCBC to consider variance requests for Currahee Club during today’s meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will consider several variance requests during its regular scheduled meeting later today.

A bulk of the variance requests are from Real Property Holding Toccoa, GA, LLC and Currahee Club Development, LLC, both of which are for property inside Currahee Club.

In total there are 5 variance requests to be considered inside the residential golf community.

The board will also consider a rezoning request from Roy Richie, Jr, petitioner of Frazier Hollis, for the property located at 90 Spanish Moss Drive/Tower Road, in Toccoa.

The property is currently zoned as agriculture residential; however, Richie is requesting .13 acres of the property be rezoned to residential single.

In other business the board will consider a motion to authorize Chairman Dennis Bell to sign an agreement with the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission to conduct a regional pay study.

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet at 5:30 p.m. inside the Stephens County Historical Courthouse.

As always, the public is invited and encouraged to attend.
