SCBC to consider awarding bids for SCSO’s new vehicles

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners will consider a motion to approve a Hold Harmless Agreement for Diana Williams during its meeting this evening.

The board will convene at 5:30 p.m. inside the Stephens County Historical Courthouse.

A hold harmless agreement is a legal agreement that states that one party will not hold another party liable for risk, often physical risk or damage.

Also, on the agenda, the board will consider a motion to approve a speed zone resolution.

In other business, the board is expected to award Mike Jones Ford the bid for a Special Service Vehicle for the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $36,109.14.

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is also expected to receive three patrol vehicles, if the board awards Jacky Jones Ford the bid in the amount of $31,100 per vehicle.

Lastly, the board will consider a motion awarding Rave Mobile Safety the bid for a 1-year contract for Emergency Management Mass Communications in the amount of $9,000.

Again, the Stephens County Board of Commissioners will meet at 5:30 p.m. today, inside the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.
