SCBC set date for 2021 Amnesty Day

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners have set the date for the 2021 Amnesty Day event.

On Tuesday, the Commission voted and approved April 10, 2021 at Amnesty Day in Stephens County.

The annual event gives Stephens County residents a way to dispose of any junk that may be cluttering the streets, yards, and homes in the county.

Like other amnesty day events, the April 10th Stephens County Amnesty Day is only for residents of Stephens County.

Officials will be onsite, checking vehicle tags at the entrance of the Stephens County Road Department.

If you have an out-of-town tag, to prove your residency please bring a piece of mail, such as a utility bill, and your driver’s license or ID with your Stephens County Address.

Commissioner Dennis Bell made a motion approving the date for Amnesty Day with Commissioner Dean Scarborough seconding the motion.

The motion was approved unanimously.
