SC Sheriff’s Office hiring Deputies

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is hiring deputies for the uniform patrol and jail divisions. 

Requirements for the uniform patrol division include completion, or willingness to complete, the Peace Officers Standards and Training Basic Law Enforcement Training, a minimum of 30 hours of yearly P.O.S.T. approved training, possess a valid US Driver’s License and have a satisfactory MVR.

Requirements for the jail division include POST certification as a jailer provided within 6 months of hire.

Requirements for both divisions include the ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years of age.

Uniform, equipment and training is provided. Benefits include 11 paid holidays, health, dental and vision insurance, retirement benefits, supplemental insurance, life insurance, sick leave, paid military leave and paid vacation, as well as an incentive plan that includes education incentive pay and POST certificate incentive pay.
