Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program registration begins today

The Salvation Army Toccoa, has announced the continuation of its annual Angel Tree Program.

Brenda Gragg is a social worker with the Salvation Army Toccoa.

She says that the Angel Tree Program is an opportunity for the community to come together and ensure that every child can open a present this Christmas.

Registration for the Angel Tree Program begins today.

Registration runs today through Thursday, October 3, at the Salvation Army located 306 E. Franklin Street, in Toccoa. Parents or guardians can come in from 10 a.m. until noon, and from 1 until 4 p.m., today through Thursday. Additionally, on Thursday, October 3, sign-ups will also be accepted from 5 until 7 p.m.

Gragg says there are a few documents parents and guardians will need to bring in to sign a child up to be a recipient of the Angel Tree Program.

“A photo I.D., birth certificate for each child, and a utility bill with current address,” she says.

During registration, Guardians will need to have the clothing and shoe sizes for each child.

Gragg encourages parents to only register through one agency; rather than the other agencies that offer similar programs, to ensure that every child’s needs are met.
