Richard Orville Lambert

Richard Orville Lambert, beloved husband, father, grandfather to seven and great grandfather to seventeen passed away shy of his ninetieth birthday on February 26, 2022 at peace in his home in Toccoa Georgia, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was easy to talk with and provided thoughtful answers to his children’s questions and concerns.  He raised his children and was ready to listen and help at any time,

always supportive and understanding.  With his support and guidance, all his children grew up to be good people with families of their own.

Richard was a Free Mason for seven decades and served as the Worshipful Grand Master of the Florida Fellsmere lodge #282.

Richard was an exceptionally honest, caring and decent man who put his wife, children and grandchildren first. He was much too honest to be a rich man, used car salesman or politician but he was rich in the things that matter most…love, honesty and compassion.

Richard and his wife Pat founded Lambert Real Estate in Sebastian Florida in 1971 and owned Heritage Title Insurance in Melbourne Florida. He was a proper and loving example for all to follow, and later in life a member in good standing of the Tugalo Baptist Church in Eastanollee Georgia.

Richard attended Marshall University in West Virginia, worked for the Ashland Oil Company in Ashland Kentucky for many years and received his private pilot’s license in his mid-fifties while living in Florida.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Pat; sons, John (Rebecca), Michael (Joyce) and Jeff (Susan); daughter Kathryn (David); and grandchildren, Caitlin Coble Choate (Jack), Dawn Santangelo, Moriah Partney (Cory), Sarah Peattie (Tim), Shelby Ivester (Josh), Michael Wells (Gretchen) and Richard Wells (Veronica); and 17 great grandchildren.

Richard was born in Ironton, Ohio in 1932, the only son of Orville and Blanche Lambert who we are sure, along with others that have gone before including his grandson Joshua, will all meet him at Gods heavenly gate as angels sound their trumpets announcing his arrival!

Hallelujah Richard!   Rejoice in a life well lived!   ~1932-2022~

A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at four o’clock Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Whitlock Mortuary Chapel.
