Reward Offered in Banks County Arson Fire

In Banks County, Fire officials and the Georgia State Fire Marshall’s office are now offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for a house fire last month in Homer.

Officials said the reward could be as much as $10,000 according to the Fire Marshal’s Office.

The blaze happened last month at 2090 Highway 441 in Homer.

No one was injured in the fire and the home was unoccupied at the time, but fire investigators determined the fire was deliberately set.

Fire Chief Steve Nichols said Monday all of the signs they’ve put up in the area asking for the public’s help are quickly taken down.

Anyone with information about the Homer house fire incident is asked to call the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at (800) 282-5804.

You do not have to give your name, but giving your name is necessary to receive a reward should your information lead to an arrest.
