Results stay the same after second recount of November 3rd Election in Stephens County

The Stephens County Registrar’s Office completed the recount of the November 3rd Election on Tuesday.

According to Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober the entire two-day process ran smoothly.

She says the second recount did not change the previous reported results from the first recount.

This was the second recount of the November 3rd Election.

The recount process began on Monday morning with the voting machines and equipment being tested for logic and accuracy to ensure that the recount would be tabulated without error.

The Registrar’s Office worked until after 6 p.m. Monday before deciding to tabulate the remaining ballots on Tuesday.

Stephens County Deputy Registrar April Roberts told WNEG News on Monday evening that the process ran smoothly throughout the day, and Gober confirmed that Tuesday was also an error free process.
