Report Shows Covid-Related Deaths in Stephens, Habersham, and Hart

For the second straight day, the Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting a Covid-related death in Stephens County to now bring the total to 66 COVID-related deaths with 2,711 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

The latest report also has Habersham County with another death bringing the total to 119 and now 4,357 positive cases of the virus, and Hart County is also reporting another death bringing the total to 32 and 1,544 cases.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has had 29 deaths and 2,133 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,355 cases and still 31 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 28 deaths and 1,452 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the number of positive cases were less than 3,000 and there have been a total now of 755,412 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 362 more were hospitalized for a total now of 50,685 that have been hospitalized, and 159 more people died bringing the  total death count due to complications of the virus  to 12,772.
